Student Showcases
At Kathryn Lowdon Vocal Studio, we provide student showcases for singers to perform live and hone their skills as a performer every three months. This is a brilliant opportunity for singers to gain experience of performing live in front of a safe and supportive audience of family and friends. We have two showcases available:
BEGINNER STUDENTS
We offer showcases quarterly for beginner students to give them their first opportunity of performing live where they can put into practice what they have learnt in their singing lessons. This is a very relaxed, low-key event which is designed to put you at ease if you are feeling a bit nervous. It is a safe and supportive environment created by family and friends where you can grow over the course of your time with us.
NEXT SHOWCASE
Our showcases are a great opportunity for you to meet new friends who sing and support each other through your musical journey. We are so happy to announce that the next Student Showcase will be in Saturday 24th October for our Halloween Celebration at The Black Swan in Newcastle.
GO FOR IT!
This is a great chance for you to take the leap into performing live in front of a safe and supportive audience of family and friends. All of our teachers invite you to participate by singing your own song/s as a solo artist or in a duet to get you into the performance groove.
WRISTBANDS
Everyone at the event must purchase a wristband to gain entry (including performers) which costs £20 for adults and £15 for children and concessions.
REFRESHMENTS
There will also be a shop available on the night for drinks and seasonal treats.
SOUNDCHECK/AUDIENCE
Students need to soundcheck at 6pm. Your vocal instructor will sort out your backing tracks and accompaniment arrangements for your instruments with you in your singing lessons.
The event will start at 8pm for audience members.
