A rich vocalist with timeless charisma, emotional potency and an old soul. Kathryn is an up and coming singer songwriter from Newcastle who is hoping to leave a sweep in her trail. Her unique voice has a beautifully rich tone and a powerful presence.

She is inspired by an elegant tapestry of sources from greats such as Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan and piano players like as Mary Lou Williams and Monk.

As an artist, Kathryn has immersed herself in the genres she values most, performing soul, blues, jazz, gospel and pop, using this sonic variation to attune to her audience. Her latest soul project is Kathryn and The Soul Engineers for which she has hand picked her favourite North East musicians. This 10 piece enables her to bring her large voice and quirky personality to life through her unique stage performance.

Kathryn will be released her E.P Cake in 2016 on her own accord which is lyrically outspoken, empowering and unafraid.
