Certified Vocal Instructor Gemma Elizabeth
“My singing lessons with Gemma are great! She’s very knowledgeable and encouraging. I’d love to continue!” Sarah Lawley
‘Gemma is a passionate and enthusiastic singing teacher, committed to helping students unlock their full potential. With a bubbly and energetic personality, she creates a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. Her teaching style is approachable yet focused, ensuring that lessons are both enjoyable and effective.
Before beginning her journey as a vocal coach, Gemma spent 20 years as a qualified secondary maths teacher, where she honed her skills in lesson planning, student engagement, and individualized support. This experience allows her to adapt her approach to each student’s needs, whether they’re a beginner or looking to refine their vocal technique.
Singing has always been Gemma’s passion, and in 2024, she began studying under renowned vocal coach Kathryn Lowdon. With a powerful voice and strong soprano range, she is developing a distinctive vocal style that blends technical skill with emotion. Singing with Kathryn’s Soul Choir further refines her craft and helps her connect with other passionate singers. Her growing experience in both solo and ensemble singing enhances her understanding of voice dynamics and musical expression, which she brings into her teaching.
She is enrolled on Profty’s Singing Teacher Development Programme where she is studying vocal pedagogy with Vocal Consultant Greg Enriquez, acting through song with Rhonda Carlson and vocal style with Justin Levy.
Gemma excels at putting students at ease, encouraging them to explore their voices without fear of judgment. Her natural ability to connect with people helps her build supportive relationships, encouraging students to push their boundaries and grow. She believes in music’s ability to uplift, and her enthusiasm inspires confidence in her students.
With a blend of technical learning, educational experience, and a growing passion for vocal coaching, Gemma aims to make a lasting impact, helping students improve their vocal abilities and gain confidence in their musicality.‘
