“I really enjoyed my lesson with Oliver. He explained things so well and the lesson flew by. I didn’t want it to end. Thank you so much!” Angela Todd
About Oliver
Whether you are a complete beginner, a karaoke singer, performing with your band or looking for a singing teacher for your child, Oliver is the singing teacher for you.
As someone who has had 125+ hours of vocal training with Kathryn, Oliver’s firsthand experience in developing and shifting his voice makes him adept at passing on this knowledge and skill to future students. On top of that, his study in performance technique thanks to Rhonda Carlson, has taught him how to capture the emotion of songs, how to connect with the audience and how to make songs visually pop on stage through movement.
He has continually put these skills into practice when gigging in the North-East music scene. Oliver started performing under his stage name ‘George Haywood’ which he uses for shows around the North-East of England. In 2019, Oliver graduated from Newcastle University with a BA Honours in English Language; his linguistic study and love-of-language continues to inspire his songwriting and vocal technique which continues to do so to this day.
Oliver has a Level 3 Learning and Support Assistant qualification and has worked in schools for over a year. This has given him experience in how to explain complex concepts to those who are unfamiliar with a topic.
He is excited to expand his vocal technique and pedagogy through studying his Singing Teacher Development course with Profty where he is going taught by world class Master Teachers Greg Enriquez and Rhonda Carlson from Las Vegas and Monique Thomas from Paris. Oliver continues to be mentored and supervised by Kathryn at her studio in Newcastle as his education develops and grows.
He has MU membership, Safeguarding Children in Music Certificate and an Enhanced DBS Check.
